Visa for Music has won the first ever COPYRIGHT FRIENDLY LABEL!
Visa for Music has received the first COPYRIGHT FRIENDLY LABEL award as a cultural operattor that respects and supports copyright regulations.
The prize was awarded by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Moroccan Copyright Office, CISAC, UCLG Africa and MOCA, in the presence of several representatives of authors’ and composers’ societies, cultural programmers and artists from across the continent. The ceremony took place in Rabat on Friday 19 May 2023 during the 8th edition of the MOCA Festival, organised as part of the RABAT AFRICAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE.
This new label was developed during the think tank held at Café la Scène during the 8th edition of MOCA, with the aim of establishing a dialogue and initiating a debate on the support and structuring of CCIs, through education, entrepreneurship and investment.
Visa for Music has always supported the structuring of cultural and creative industries, and since 2014 has been working to promote artistic talent on an African and global scale, and to build bridges between nations and cultures.
In addition, the founder of Visa For Music, Brahim El Mazned, was awarded the “Visionary” prize by MOCA at the same edition of the event, for his unwavering commitment and vision in the development of the Cultural and Creative Industries.
The prize was awarded by Alain Bidjeck, the founder and director.
